The Fed Is Not a Central Bank

The Fed is not really a central bank in the classical sense. It tries to be a market of last resort because what they're saying is, like Silicon Valley Bank, when all these dealers start to contract,. When elasticity any elasticity grows and illiquidity, all that bad stuff happens. What the Fed says, what a classical central bank should do is come in at the beginning and interrupt that process before it even begins.
