In verses two and three, micah uses the imagery of butchery to describe the way that injustice has come to function within the land of judah. Do you think he chose this particular image? Why might it be an especially apt way of thinking about injustice and the way that it functions? Matthew six verses, 19 34, do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. No one can serve two masters: either he will hate the one and love the other or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve d and money;
