Episode 11 - The Eastern Provinces

The History of Byzantium

00:00

Introduction

The Eastern Provinces were protected from the Franks, Goths, Vandals and Huns by their location. The walls of Constantinople and the Imperial fleet guarded the Western approaches. There were also mountains in the north, deserts in the south and the Mediterranean in the middle. Big thanks to listener Charlie for his post at the history of Byzantium.
