How to Design Analytics Into Your Experiences

I think UXers need to be better educated around analytics in order to design analytics into their experiences. Analytics is a prime way of understanding, did this design change have an impact or not. It's kind of scary to open yourself to that kind of accountability. Because often designs don't work out as intended. And then you have some explaining to do.
