Different Consenting Styles

The idea that you can't consent unless it's enthusiastic is both a little bit patronizing about our ability to consent and I think it again puts this yes no binary but in fact there's just such a whole range of different types of consent. We need to talk about all the kind of you know places in the middle the places where negotiation is part of it but also you can feel meaningfully able to make a decision. Sometimes the action looks the same but you are operating a place of fear or a place of feeling pressured and that is actually very different so we talk about that we need to not do this yes or no there's like everything almost everything happens in between reading about that was liberating
