Don't Cry It Out. You Can Teach Your Child
You don't want to do it too early because they really need those first months to feel safe and secure. It's easier to make sure first that they fall asleep awake, but drowsy so you're not putting them to bed asleep. Then when they wake up, they have to figure out how to get back to sleep on their own. And then after that, you just go like Ron said with the rungs to the bottom rung until you just don't need to do anything anymore. You can never do cry it out. But if you find that your infant is crying for days and days and days know that they're not ready yet.
