The Law of the Lord, O Lord, I Love Your Law

The law of the lord is good and wise, but it also will kill you. So it depends ultimately upon our relation to it. Do we approach god's law as a way for us to prove ourselves, or to earn our salvation? Or do we approach the law in terms of resting in christ and seeking to live a godly life.? And if we love the lord, we will obey his mandments. How many times is that said by john and others? The question does come back to faith, and faith in what, or more precisely, faith in whom and why.
