Is the Scientific Enterprise Primary?

The most expensive computational equipment in the world, we devote to portraying stories. I personally think that the narrative mode of looking at the world is the most fundamental. And so then it's an open question, is the scientific enterprise primary, or is the ethical enterprise primary? So it's worth thinking about. You know, and we don't, because we're scientifically minded, and it's a good thing that we are.
