Influenza - Is Masking a Good Thing?
We have three seasons of minimal exposure to both influenza and RSV, among other respiratory viruses. The intervention to prevent transmission really depends on our understanding the biology of the different respiratory viruses. We know that masks work, at least as measured by their direct ability to filter out pathogens but there's been very limited evidence as to how effective they are when worn by the general public.
