The Benevolent Manipulator

The way I look at a lot of relationships is through the grid of gravitas. Gravitas is an old Roman virtue that means dignity or graveness or seriousness mean weight. It's also really easy to fake by being kind of an overtop attention seeker and all that sort of stuff. A benevolent manipulator is someone whose love or benevolence for towards you is directly tied to your willingness to push for their agenda.
