The Benefits of a Vegan Diet
Some people believe that nutritionally meat and particularly fish provide amino acids that would be hard to get from a purely vegetarian diet. I think there are some parts of the world where it's necessary in order for people to live healthy lives that they consume some animal products. That's not the case in advanced western societies where we can get adequate nutrition from non-animal sources. There are plenty of people alive now who have been vegan from birth. Both my children have been vegetarian from birth by choice. My son was a nationally ranked tennis player when he was in high school and college so we know that people can be fit and healthy.
