I Love Layering the Emotion
One of my other favorite tricks is to layer the emotion because I think that humans very rarely feel one thing in isolation like we are complex beings and we usually feel like at least two emotions. Especially around those pivotal my plot plot plot points in a story where there is heightened emotion let's say somebody passes away sometimes you feel relief as well as devastating sadness. One of the tricks that I use to show that is to have one set of emotion outwards so be that in actions and dialogue and one and a conflicting emotion internally which is like the visceral feelings and sensations.
