For me, music is the only evidence of god that i've found. It speaks to us and untethers our soul for just a moment. The sense of being well employed is so welcome in a moment like that. But definitly, what we're up to in the nights of grief and mystery is to dissemble the rudiments of theatre. Ecause in the ceremony and in a blessing, you can't have an audience man. You can have people watching, adjudicating, voting on whether they approve or not.
