Occupy was born of a disappointment with electoral politics, and with representatives democracy. The inspiration had come from seeing these forums used to great effect in argentina. People could block proposals, which means that one person could stand up and say, i'm so against this idea that i block it. It's just a model tha, you know? By the end, they had really devolved into something very different.
