Why Do We Do That?

CHAPTER

Your First Kiss Was a Game of Spin the Bottle

Katie Thistleton was brought up in an extremely conservative Muslim community. In her parents' ideal world, she would never have seen a romantic kiss on telly or in real life until she got married. She believes it is a natural impulse when you fancy someone that we are just drawn to want to kiss them. The science of kissing has been studied by Dr Rafael Vodlowski at Oxford University who says 80 million bacteria are exchanged in a 10 second snog.
