Colleges are essentially hedge funds that have campuses. The most important person at every college is the person who invests what's called the endowment, the $10 billion to $50 billion. They just make more money and they claim they use it for scholarships. But can they? I'm just curious. Do you think college would be a bank in the future? Like college with so much money. That's just not how we do it. There's a scam going on. And these kids, remember, student loan debt is the one type of debt you cannot get rid of in a bankruptcy.
“Politics makes people stupid,” says James, an outspoken critic against buying into skyrocketing college tuition fees.
James attended Cornell and has finished paying back his loans. Robyn chose not to go to college and pursued an entrepreneurial lifestyle. The two of them now have five college-aged children. Jay went to a private college but, as a foreign national, wasn't eligible for federal student aid.
