What's the Story of Peter Burnet?
Peter Hardiman Burnet was born in 1807. He later went on to become the first governor of the state of California. In 1843, Burnet helped organize and lead the first great wagon train to Oregon. Peter Burnett also pushed against Chinese migration to Oregon.
