Just started training BJJ? Not sure what makes a good gym? When you are new to the game you don't necessarily know what to look for. Both JT & Joey have experienced the early stage awkwardness of entering a new gym and feeling out of place.
There are definite green lights that are good to recognise and also red flags to avoid. Understanding what makes a great gym and Jiu-jitsu culture is key to choosing the right place for you to start your BJJ journey.
