Hemmingway's Hypertension Treatment
Hemingway was treated with ECT, electroconvulsive therapy as many as 15 times in December of 1960. Hemmingway could not just go down to Boise or whatever the nearest town is and go see a psychiatrist or check in with a psychiatric facility somewhere in Idaho. The way that they covered this up was, and it was almost like a lie to themselves, which is kind of perfect.
