The Tension Between Japan and South Korea

Shilko: There is this challenge of historical memory that continues to plague Japan, not only in its relations with South Korea. She says the bigger issue that is really taught in Japanese schools is about Japan as a victim. Shilko: The biggest challenge that Japan has regarding Korea and historical memory is that agreements that have been signed were actually ripped apart by Korea.
