I admire her very much actually for not giving us that respite at the end, you know. Most other writers would have given maybe a glimmer of something, but she just doesn't. Living with somebody and it's another thing that sort of gothic literature explores a bit. The idea of being observed in your never sort of just anonymous in your own home.
