The Airline's Diversion to Natale Airport

Nufthansa flight L8511 is a daily non-stop scheduled service between Buenos Aires and Frankfurt. On June 27, the Boeing 747-8 took off from Buenos Aires but had to turn around and divert to Natale Airport in Brazil due to a medical emergency on board. After this uncheduled stop at Natale, the Jumbo jet again departed towards Europe but had to cut its flight short again. This involved a diversion to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport because the crew ran out of duty time and the airline had to arrange a crew change. The 13 hour flight ended up taking almost 23 hours.
