How Did You Come to Be a Psychiatrist?

After medical school in Washington, D.C., he moved to New York and ran a psychiatric ward during the day at St. Vincent's Hospital. After hours, he had a medical psychiatric practice. He would call for patients with medical conditions that were complicated by psychiatric problems. In the course of this work, he started to feel like we don't do anything when it comes to preventing these problems.
