The Last Moment of the Shooting

Three weeks after the shooting, Brooks and Leslie were spirited out of the hospital. Out of the hospital, orphaned now, the finality of the children's loss sank in all the way. The siblings who kept each other alive through crisis and recovery were separated. And so began repercussions neither they nor anyone else imagined.
