The Confession of Faith: A Contextual History
The Second London Confession of Faith was first published around September of 1677. The author tried to imagine what would it be like if I were a member of one of the particular Baptist churches in London. How would I have understood that document as I sat there? Not in 1877, not in 1977, not in 2022, he says.
