The fast food industry relied on huge catches of cod offo the canadian grand banks and the georges bank massachusetts. The alaska pollock is a fish that probably youhave never known you've eaten, but you've eaten it many times. A lot of the fish that we now eat is marine mammals. I think there were probly many, many more marine mammals before humanity developed its huge appetite for fish.
