Scott Weingart: I'd be really worried to stick these patients on the floor with these because they're very good chance they'll fall backwards unless people are actually watching them. He says this is a way to avoid the ICU, but they still should probably be going to a high level of care and remain on that AVAPS or some form of inspiratory support for at least 24, 48 hours at least.
