What Does Daniel Do?
Daniel's new name is Baltha'Shezar, which means Bell will protect me. Azraiah to Abednego and Hennania'ed Shadrach are given Babylonian names. They had been set apart for a purpose: to live as the Lord's. And it's almost like when their name is changed, that they're being desecrated. But Daniel resolved not to defile himself with food from the king's table. He was homeless, but he ate like he was back home.
