I don't ever even call it fails anymore. The truth fail for a parent of a child with autism is quitting. So what I tell my parents is I want you to get your child to about 80% success and that's when the diapers stop. We're either learning or winning we're never failing. It's so easy to like lean into those kind of nasty emotions because you know it's just like oh yeah this is horrible and this is we're done we're doneWe're never doing this again.
