I think Americans overall are just frustrated with inauthentic politicians who promise them the world and then get into office and don't do anything to deliver on that, right? I'm often reminded of my friend and mentor, Paul Wellstone, who people Minnesota didn't agree with him on every issue. But one of the reasons they supported him is because he always stood up and fought for what he believed in. Even when they disagreed with him on those issues, they gave him the benefit of the doubt because they knew that he was willing to fight for it.
