The Importance of Independence in Relationships

I think the definition of love for me is the way you feel about yourself through someone else's eyes. I'm very independent. So definitely don't want to live like a codependent type of relationship, which is just not who I am. After being single for so long, I've just realized like independence is going to be a part of my life. But also after the experience that I went through and candidly losing some friends and having people kind of judge me, it's been more important than ever to have a partner who sees me in such a positive light. And you know, it's everything.
