The Origins of Jazz

Jazz has taken a very secuitous root through US culture. It spreads in no small measure because black American musicians, oftentimes they travel abroad and play there. The music then being taken up by musicians from other countries. So this music has been protean. It has a spread globally. It has spread domestically. You have high school jazz bands, for example, throughout the United States of America. And as noted, you not only have the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, in San Francisco, which regularly gives concerts with musicians fairly compensated.
