Single-use disposable vapes have exploded in popularity over the past few years. Each one has roughly 0.15 grams of lithium, which enables an atomizer that vaporizes the actual eliquid and makes the experience better. There are concerns amongst policy officials that within the next couple of years it will be in short supply. The FT's leisure industries correspondent Oliver Barnes talks to Mr Barnes about this story.

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation is leading an auction to find a potential buyer for Silicon Valley Bank after the US government said it would help depositors in its efforts to stop contagion across the banking sector. Plus, the boom in disposable vaping devices is not just adding to health concerns but leading to tonnes of electronic waste.
