How to Submit a Paper to a Journal
The editing process and the refereeing process actually has a decent amount of variation, at least in my personal experience. So on some papers I submitted, I heard back reasonably quickly, and then they turned into publications. And then on the other end of the spectrum, I had waited for more than a year back and forth with the referee. It took additional probably like six or seven months for it to actually come out, to be in print.
