The Paradox of Avoidance
I define psychological avoidance as any response to discomfort right that gives us immediate relief but it comes with a price tag so this is the idea there and we are biologically wired to move away from threats if there was a lion in front of us fight flight of freeze when it comes to avoidance our brain can't distinguish real threat from perceived threat. We have a little too much wine we screw on social media mindless sometimes even do things like I'm gonna take a walk to come down but every time you're anxious you're taking a walk you're never actually doing your work right. Some of us have seen a lot of this actually as a type of avoidance cara which is we remain stuck.
