The Graduate Dividend in the UK

For UK male, the graduate dividend over a career is like 150 grand. In France and Germany it's 250 grand. And increasingly you're not going to be that much better off if you have done a degree which isn't STEM or economics. You'll come out of university in the same sort of class and situation as you were. But I still think that there's a bit of a difference between the experience of downward social mobility, or blocked social mobility, and what I call 'class consciousness'
