The Interpretive Roll of the Courts Under Section 3 of the 1998

The supreme court took the view that whereat a provision of an act of parliament was consistent with a convention, it should be interpreted in this way. I find that problematical, because one of the things about the law is it ought to be readily ascertainable by members of the public. And if you can't look at what an act of Parliament says and take it at face value, then it seems to me that the law is not readily ascertainable or easy for citizens to follow.
