The Failure to Have a Real Plan for These Communities
I'm not against trade. I actually believe in trade, but we had to have a plan for these communities more than saying we're going to give you trade adjustment assistance and train you for jobs that somewhere. So the failure to have a real plan, some would disdain it as industrial policy. But we sort of owed it to those communities. And I live here in the Midwest. You know, your community is just one of many, many communities that saw these changes and depopulation.
