The History of Artificial Intelligence
When people were first starting to think about electronic computers, which was in the 1940s, the common description was giant electronic brains. Now again, very much a mechanical technology where I'm not sure anybody would have thought of it as an intelligence. And you could have all kinds of automata, and they were called automata, that would be kind of this, this, these models of, you know, people and animals and so on.
