The Consequences of Reading a Graphic Novel
One of the things that I was struck by, um, was the difference between the way it reads when you're reading it as a single strip versus the way you'reReading it on. The pacing of panel, panel, panel,. punchline panel, is very, very, it's like a drumbeat. And when you read the whole thing as a graphic novel, um, it's the cognitive equivalent of just a constant pounding and not necessarily pleasant for me.
