How Can I Get My People to Take More Ownership?

The question is how can I get my people to take more ownership? It reminds me of the last podcast we talked about seeing two different ways to answer the same question. A lot of times on the academy, in person, whatever it might be, when we get a question is, how do I get people to take ownership? One of the most common answers is you can't make people take ownership. You have to take ownership. And one of the worst things I can do as a leader is say, Jocko, this is your fault. The team didn't do it there or my employee or my subordinate didn't do what they were supposed to do or the team did that.
