Tolkien's Mythology Is the Same as the Old Testament
Tolkien has a distinctive mythology which is not directly connected to the Old Testament. But in a way, it's still the same god of the Old testament. So that means that though it's pre-Christian, it still needs to be in a chord with old testament theology. "I wish almost at the Old Testament that Genesis 1 used the verb singing instead of creating," he says.
