In order to be a realistic actor, they will have to find their motivation. This should prime you to expect that maybe there is a lot of hidden motives in the world. Actors tell you they can't act this scene. Why? There's only one level. Theories of laughter over the centuries have included things like, you laugh at things that are funny. But what we have actually found is that laughter is a play signal. And so it makes sense that when we're playing with our social rules, we laugh to show, hey, it feels like this might have beena rule violation, but we know this isn't in our group. So it's ok if we laugh about
