The Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization or ACTO includes leaders from Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela. The group's final joint declaration is a nearly 10,000 word road map of sorts that aims to protect the Amazon. They asserted indigenous rights and protections while also agreeing to cooperate on water management, health, common negotiating positions at climate summit and sustainable development.
