Is There a Linear Regression Technique?
A lot of people are familiar with linear regression. It's just trying to fit a line across a piece of data so that we can approximate when we see a new piece of data where it would go on that line. But believe it or not, that's considered an artificial intelligence technique. And the reason I wanted to bring it up is that I feel hopefully it demystifies for people that when we're building artificial intelligence, especially weak artificial intelligence, what it's actually doing doesn't have to be a total mystery.
