More than 50% of your body is made up of water. It's also needed for multiple functions, including digesting food and delivering oxygen. The National Academy of Medicine recommends that women consume 2.7 liters of fluids daily; men have 3.7 litering. And so we get 80% from our fluid intake and 20% from our foods on average.
