Tatsuya's Trial

Tatsuya evaded capture for years until police received a tip that he'd undergone plastic surgery. He had two moles on his cheek removed, folds added to his eyelids and both lips thinned out The knowledge that he was still alive and still in Japan spurred police to close the capture net around him. In November of 2009 Tatsuha was finally arrested while trying to board a ferry to the island of Okinawa. Charged with murder and carnal violation But refused to say a single word to investigators during questioning. When threatened with the death penalty  he released a statement through one of his lawyers but only then did he accept full responsibility for Lindsay's death. A district court sentenced
