Dagger is a great tool for making c i city pipe lines more portable, so that you can deploy all the different parts of your application in the same way. It does not replace terrform but shares some commonalities and how it works internally. The first one that comes to mind is running the test anterly. So right now we run all of our integration test for the standard library, which is the reusable packages that dagger provides.

In today’s episode, Gerhard is talking to Sam Alba, Docker’s first employee, and Solomon Hykes, the Docker co-founder. Together with Andrea Luzzardi, they are the creators of Dagger, a universal deployment engine that trades YAML for CUE, and uses Buildkit as the runtime.
