Do Mycorrhizal Fungi Grow Next to Broccoli?

Cabbage, brassicas and beet family don't make mycorrhizal associations. So can it have a negative impact on those? No, they just don't form a relationship. The relationship starts when the plant sends the signal out to a spore of a fungus. If you're not getting that signal, then the spore doesn't germinate at all.
