The Suicide Theory of Ettory

Ettory was introverted, but that doesn't necessarily translate to depression. He withdrew a huge sum of money from his bank account shortly before he set off for Palermo. It would still be very out of character for Ettory to withdraw money that his mother could have used if he was going to drown himself without spending it. While the letters Ettory wrote in those final days seemed to indicate he was planning something, none of them explicitly say that he was preparing to kill himself.
